UWP-TV is an educational access channel, under the supervision of Media Technology Services (located on 8th floor of Pioneer Tower). Programming on UWP-TV includes educational, sports and entertainment programming, a student-produced news program, the Classic Arts Showcase on weekends, and a community calendar of events.
Mission
The mission of UWP-TV is to:
Provide the cable-subscribing households of Southwestern Wisconsin with educational and informational programming; this public includes residents of the city of Platteville and the towns of Belmont, Benton, Cuba City, Darlington, Hazel Green, Potosi, Shullsburg, and Tennyson
Provide the cable-subscribing households of Southwestern Wisconsin with a community events calendar
Provide an opportunity for UWP students, particularly those in the College of Business, Industry, Life Science and Agriculture (BILSA), to participate in television production and to create programming that encourages creative expression
