This is a guide to the Technology Enhanced Classrooms on campus. Each room listed will show images of the room, list the different sources available, and contact information for keys, service, and training. These rooms can be scheduled through the registrar’s office. UW-Platteville has implemented the following guidelines in order to provide a classroom environment that is safe, secure, and conducive to effective teaching and learning. The purpose is to define the guidelines related to maintaining technology enhanced classrooms at a reasonable level of technology. This will help ensure that these facilities meet the needs of students, faculty and staff.
Eating and drinking on or near student or instructor tables which are wired for electricity and data.
Moving or rearranging the student or instructor tables which are wired for electricity and data.
Attempting to change, move, or damage the computer, video equipment, software or the network.
Viewing of material in violation of federal copyright laws or any other activities in violation of the campus Acceptable Use Policy.
Making students aware of these guidelines.
Securing the classroom equipment to the extent that they must lock all equipment cabinet doors upon completion of class.
Technology enhanced classrooms are deemed "public" in the sense that any person can utilize the equipment during the class. It is recommended that all personal/class files are removed from the computer immediately following their use.
Report any damage or malfunction of equipment to Media Technology Services as soon as possible. You can report a problem by calling 342-1378.
Shutdown the system according to standard procedures. This will ensure the equipment is protected from damage.
