UWP :: Teaching Excellence Center

The Teaching Excellence Center (TEC) was established in the fall of 1990 at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Built on a strong foundation of Student Management Teams, the TEC has expanded its work and partnerships.
The TEC mission is to provide shared leadership in the pursuit of effective and innovative teaching to enhance student learning.
The TEC is more of a concept than a place. Through this website you will find that we are providing a "center" where faculty, focused on student learning, can find human, technological, and other resources to meet their needs.
Faculty development is the key to the TEC's work. Through our staff, the Improvement of Learning Committee, and our partnerships we expect that you will find services that help you develop as a teacher, scholar, person and as part of the organizational development of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
Our special emphasis is on instructional development; namely programs that have as their focus course content, instructional delivery, and assessment.
