Students on Campus Mall

Laura A. Bayless

Welcome to Student Affairs at UW-Platteville, where a staff of exceptional educators dedicated to student success engages students outside the classroom and helps students make links between their classroom experience and other parts of their lives. We challenge and support all students, and support the university's mission to enable each student to become broader in perspective, more literate, intellectually more astute, ethically more sensitive, and to participate wisely in society as a competent professional and knowledgeable citizen.

The Student Affairs Staff are here to:

  • Advocate for students
  • Enhance classroom and co-curricular learning and development
  • Engage and connect students
  • Promote student voice and influence in the decision-making process
  • Ensure that the community standards designed to promote student success are upheld

Our staff in the departments of Campus Activities, Career Services, Counseling Services, Dean of Students Office, Health Services, Pioneer Involvement, and Residence Life collaborate with faculty and staff throughout the campus to enrich and integrate learning experiences and opportunities into all facets of university life.

I am honored to join the UW-Platteville Pioneer community. It is a distinct privilege to be able to engage in this challenging and rewarding experience where every student’s success matters.

Let’s keep that Pioneer Spirit alive and make a difference in the world!
