Georgeanne Freudenreich, faculty member (1962-90) in the College of Education at UW-Platteville, made available, through her Last Will & Testament, funds for UW-Platteville specified as follows:
"...to enhance the teaching and learning experience at said school in the classroom; the operation of said fund to be determined by the faculty teaching education classes."
Evaluators will use the following question for proposal review: How will the activity/project establish and/or maintain a climate for creative teaching at UW-Platteville? Activities/projects that might be appropriate include (but are not limited to):
Faculty teaching education courses and School of Education administrators are eligible to submit proposals.
The proposals shall be submitted via email attachment to Office of Sponsored Programs at osp@uwplatt.edu by April 5, 2013
Total Funds Available are $5,300.00
A committee of faculty teaching education courses appointed by the director of the School of Education, and including at least one member from each of the departments in the School of Education, and in ex-offcio, non-voting capacity the Executive Director of the UW-Platteville Foundation Inc., shall review and rank the proposals.The ranked proposals shall be submitted to the Director of the School of Education and the Provost & Vice Chancellor for input. The committee shall meet, incorporate that input, and select the proposal(s) to be funded. Notification of awards is expected by May 1,2012. If there are no proposals submitted in any given year, or none approved, no monies shall be spent that year. Spendable dollars shall be accumulated and the process shall be repeated the following year, as prescribed above.
Grant recipients are expected to submit a final report to the Office of Sponsored Programs and the Development Office within 3 months of the project completion or by September 1, 2014.
