There are Faculty Professional Development funds available for professional training or travel for the fiscal year 2010-2011. Professional development to be funded from this source includes conference paper presentation/attendance and off-campus training provided by recognized associations/institutions in your discipline or area.

The Faculty Professional Development Committee will now consider proposals covering the time period from March 1 - June 1, 2013. The maximum award shall not exceed $1,200.00 per funding cycle, and priority will be given to those applicants who have not received any prior professional development funds.

To assist the Committee in ranking proposals, applicants will need to fill out the attached application form completely and submit all required supporting documents. Furthermore, applicants will need to get an endorsement from their respective department chair and/or their college dean. This endorsement will give an indication of how significant the proposed activity is in the broader goals and objectives of the department and college. Applicants are also encouraged to seek additional funding from other sources on campus, such as grants.

Completed applications are due by Monday, February 11, 2013 at 4:00 pm after which no late applications will be accepted. Announcements of the awards will be made on or before Wednesday, February 20, 2013.

The next call for proposals will go out in April 2013 for professional development activities to be conducted between June 4 and October 31, 2013. The awards will be announced in May, 2013.
