During this years Research/Poster Day event, held in
the University North & South and Platteville East & West rooms of the Pioneer Student Center.
Ruth Alcalay stands between her husband, Eugene, and her research on,
"Henry Vane, Godly Republican."
John Berg proudly displays his research regarding,
"Causes & Patterns of 19th Century German Emigration from Bremerton."

"Shakespeare & the Underground Stream:
Secret Societies, Alchemy, & Elizabethan Theater."
Was the research that Dr. Terri Burns presented.

Dr. Kevin Concannon displays his research entitled,
"Passing for American: Transnational Identity & the Imagination of National Belonging."

Dr. Rea Kirk and Lisa Emendorfer discuss their research on
"Going from Lecture Model to Learner-Centered Education" with others.

Dr. Beth Frieders arranges
"A Summary of Research Completed on Sabbatical, Fall 2006,"
for people to see.
Dr. Elizabeth Gates shows her research conducted on
"An Experimental Analysis of the Relationship between College Students'
Attitudes towards Abortion and Knowledge of Abortion."

Christine Holtz displayed her
"FSA Shooting Scripts Revisited,"
for everyone to enjoy.

Greg Imbur displayed "Winterim trips to Jamaica 2003-2007"
by the School of Education faculty.
Dr. Osama Jadaan explains his research titled,
"Probabilistic Design of MEMS & Thermoelectric Devices,"
to students.

Dr. Marge Karsten stands behind her three volume set of books on
"Gender, Race, & Ethnicity in the Workplace,"
a compilation of 37 essays from various professionals.

Chemistry and Engineering Physics student, Elaine Hildebrandt and Dr. Qiong (June) Li
displayed their collaborative effort on
"The Study of DNA Cleavage Activity of Diazonium Salts."

Research titled
"Coherent Photon Tunneling Filter in an Optical Waveguide Structure,"
was conducted by Dr. Wei Li, and Chemistry & Engineering Physics students,
Peter Hedlund, Josh Duran, James Newman, and Anthony Gregerson.

School of Agriculture student, Jacob Bubolz (2006-07 PURF Recipient)
is ready to share his findings on
"The Effects of Dietary Crude Protein on Lactating Dairy Cattle."

Chemistry and Engineering Physics student, Katherine Campbell happily presented her work on
"Blocking SEB Induced SIgnaling Events Using Pathway Interconnectors."

Anne Turner (2006-07 PURF Recipient), and Suzanne Stapleton with their research about
"Utilizing Inhibitors of Multiple Signal Transduction Pathways to Study
the Effects of LPS in Human PBMC's."

Jennifer Snoek-Brown had an eye opening display on
"Reel Librarians: Connecting Librarians and Film."

The Office of Sponsored Programs sponsored Research/Poster Day
director, Kathryn Lomax explains the set up to Dr. Laura Khoury.
This 2-hr event was a great success this year with 32 displays covering a variety of topics.
It was enjoyed by faculty, staff and students.
