Then UW-Platteville's Pre-Vet Camp is for you. This is your chance to observe and practice several veterinary skills and techniques. The camp will be a special asset for your future

Veterinary Skills
Practice suturing and injections.

Reproductive Physiology
Dissect a cow's reproductive tract, palpate for pregnancy, and isolate and evaluate embryos.

Animal Behavior and Handling
Learn more about normal and abnormal behavior and proper animal restraint.
Small Animal Surgery
Observe a surgery and read x-rays.

Large Animal Diagnostics
Observe animals, perform a physical, make a diagnosis.

Small Animal Physical Exams
Practice diagnostic and examination techniques on small animals.

All sessions subject to change and given by Veterinarians and UWP Animal Science faculty & professional staff.
