CERES Fraternity is an International Women's Agricultural Fraternity named after the Roman Goddess of Agriculture. The UW-Platteville Ceres Chapter participates in a wide variety of social activities and local philanthropies. This unique group is a mixture of a professional and social fraternity of women who participate in both the Greek community on campus and the School of Agriculture. Historically our chapter has won awards for community service projects both at the local level and against our International sister chapters. Some if the ideals we embrace include commitment, excellence, education, leadership, and integrity.
The members of CERES share a common bond and an interest in agriculture; however, members not need be an agriculture major- All majors are welcome! Ceres offers a great opportunity for leadership growth and environment of support that helps women grow during their time at UW-Platteville. This diversity makes us special and unique. We hold our meetings every Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. We encourage all women who have an interest to contact Laura Westerberg at westerbergl@uwplatt.edu or visit Pioneer Link.
