The Ag. Business Ag. Econ. Club was formed to fulfill two goals:
  1. To promote interest in the wide range of opportunities available in agribusiness and related fields
  2. To provide students with the experience necessary to meet the challenges in agriculturally related employment.

Guest speakers are invited to share their experiences in finance, sales, marketing, and communications. Field trips are taken to major agribusiness firms like Cargill, Cenex, and Land O'Lakes. This helps students expand their knowledge of these firms, while providing valuable connections for landing post college employment. Members of the club help with the Ag Policy Forum, a panel of local, state and national political figures who address agriculture related issues. This event is held in the fall, and is open to the entire tri-state region.

The club meets every two weeks in Russell Hall. Meeting notices are posted regarding meeting schedules. All majors are encouraged to attend so that all facets of agribusiness can be explored.
