The National AgriMarketing Association (NAMA) annual marketing competition pits teams from the U.S. and Canada against each other to convince a panel of judges (themselves professional marketers) that their product has the best marketing plan. Judging is based on a written five page executive summary and a 20-minute oral presentation. The competition is held in conjunction with the professional marketers annual conference and thus provides excellent opportunities for networking, job seeking, and professional growth. In addition to the marketing competition there are other competitions and awards for scholarships, overall chapter, and innovative idea awards.

UW-Platteville Pioneer NAMA has had great success in recent years. In seven out of the last nine years, Pioneer NAMA has made it to the semi-final round and in one year took second place nationally. In addition, the team has placed 2nd and 3rd overall outstanding chapter and has brought home numerous innovative idea awards and scholarships in recent years.
