Recommendations For When To File:

Spring 2014, Summer 2014, and December 2014 Graduates if you have not already filed a form, please do so at this time. However, if you have already completed the intent to graduate form, please DO NOT file a duplicate. If any of the information you provided has changed, please inform the Registrar's Office, and they will make note of the changes on the form already on file.

The Registrar's Office will produce a final evaluation of a student's credits when the "Intent to Graduate" form is submitted. This evaluation will formally review all credits taken, transferred, or substituted/waived, and detail which course work remains or has not yet been taken. From this evaluation, students will recognize which credits or courses are to be completed in their last term of attendance. Cautious advising is very important during the senior year.

PLEASE NOTE: Every semester the Registrar's Office is required to notify various offices of potential graduates for that semester. Graduating students are billed for a graduation fee of $40.00. Possibly, a lending institution may contact a student regarding loan repayment. Students should keep this in mind when choosing to file the intent to graduate form.

Commencements are held twice each year--at the end of the fall and spring semesters. All coursework (including co-ops, internships, and student teaching) must be completed before a degree will be awarded, and attendance at a Commencement ceremony is permitted.

Candidates for graduation at the end of a summer session are included in the May Commencement. However, they may, if they wish, attend the May or December Commencement. Summer graduates must inform the Registrar if they wish to attend the December Commencement.

Although attendance is optional, we strongly encourage all graduates and their families to attend this important ceremony and celebrate the achievements of our new graduates.
