Rationale:

The Business Administration major at UW-Platteville is a broad-based degree which encompasses numerous functional areas (i.e. finance, human resource management, marketing, management, etc.), as well as related courses in accounting, computer science, statistics, etc. Due to the wide range of these offerings, there are numerous associate degree programs at Lakeshore Technical College that relate to the Business Administration major. These programs are as follows: accounting, business, finance, materials management, supervisor's management.

The purpose of lower division business and business-related courses is to introduce students to basic concepts, theories, and practice, as well as prepare them for more complex courses to be taken in subsequent years. The purpose is both appropriate and applicable to Lakeshore Technical College and the UW-Platteville Business Administration major.

Additional Information

Effective for students admitted to the Extended Degree Program in Business Administration or declaring a Business Administration Major after August 31, 1993.
In order for these courses to transfer, the student must have completed the courses no earlier than the 1973-74 academic year with a grade of "C" or better.
The maximum number of professional/vocational credits that will transfer is 25.
This list replaces any previously approved list.
If the student changes from the Business Administration major or transfers to another UW campus, these professional/vocational courses may not necessarily transfer.
Effective Date: This agreement was created June 1, 1993, and revised April 1, 1998. The agreement covers courses which have been previously approved by the UW-System.

Definition:

Program-to-program transfer courses/credits are accepted only for the program/degree specified in this agreement. A change of major/degree/program invalidates these courses/credits for transfer unless they are approved within some other program-to-program Articulation Agreement for a different major/degree/program at UW-Platteville.
