Handicap Parking Permit

 · The University Police provides a temporary ten-day handicap permit. If a permit is needed for a longer period of time the individual will have to apply with the Department of Transportation. The University Police will not extend a ten-day handicap permit.

 · The University Police may require a doctor's written evaluation before issuing a temporary handicap permit.

 · Must have a current UW-P parking permit, or purchase a temporary for $5/week.

 · The University Police reserves the right to place restrictions on any temporary handicap permit issued.

 · The temporary handicap permit is only valid in university parking lots.


Visitor Parking Permit

 · Visitor Parking Permit Forms.

 · A visitor may purchase a visitor parking permit which is valid for one day, from the University Police for $1.00 a day.


Service Vendor

 · A service vendor who maintains a long term contract with the University for providing services may receive a service parking permit. A service vendor who provides services only several times a year will not be issued a service permit, but may be issued a visitor permit during each required visit.

 · A service vendor who drives a clearly marked business vehicle will not be required to display a Service Permit.

 · If the original Service Permit is lost, the service vendor will be required to purchase a replacement permit.

 · A company contracted by the Physical Plant should consult with the Physical Plant administration regarding parking arrangements. The company may receive a Contractor Permit, which is issued by the Physical Plant, or other parking arrangements may be made based on the contracted project.
 

Pioneer Patron Parking Permits

 · Retired faculty, not currently employed on a part-time basis by the University, that have been awarded Emeritus status may apply for a Staff Parking Permit at no cost. Faculty Emeritus working on a part-time basis for the University of Wisconsin - Platteville will be required to purchase a staff/faculty parking permit during the course of their employment.

 · The permit must be displayed while parking in a university lot or a citation will be issued for non-display.

 · If the original permit is lost, stolen, or damaged, the permit holder will be required to purchase a replacement.


Pioneer Activity Center Members

 · Community members who purchase a membership to the Pioneer Activity Center may purchase a Commuter Parking Permit. The same restrictions apply to Pioneer Activity Center Members that apply to Commuter Permit holders.


Temporary Parking Permits

 · Temporary Permits are available to anyone who has a legitimate purpose on campus for a time period not to exceed a semester.
