Applicants must have at least one degree in engineering with a Ph.D. in engineering or a closely related field. Two years of industrial and/or educational experience with a minimum of one year of educational experience is required.
"PRINCIPAL DUTIES"
Qualifications: The positions will be filled by applicants with exceptional commitment to teaching and advising undergraduate engineering students. The individuals must have the ability to teach the majority of the courses in the department. Applicants must have at least one degree in engineering with a Ph.D. in engineering or a closely related field. Two years of industrial and/or educational experience with a minimum of one year of educational experience is required. Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to or experience with racially diverse populations. Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the positions is to teach undergraduate courses in the department in a student-centered learning environment. The department seeks energetic faculty members to teach majority of the courses, which include Introduction to Engineering, Engineering Graphics, Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Applications of Electrical Engineering, and Engineering Economy. The individuals may also be expected to teach some courses using alternative delivery methods. Successful applicants will be expected to develop a strong professional development record, including undergraduate research. Additional responsibilities of the position include advising undergraduate students and university community service.
