Assistant Professor in International Business

JOB DETAILS:
Assistant Professor in International Business, tenure track, 9-month, full time. Position available August 2013.

Responsibilities:
Typical teaching load of four courses which may include distance teaching assignments. Additional activities include academic advising. The successful candidate will be expected to meet the traditional requirements of excellence in teaching, active scholarly and professional work, and service to the University and community.

Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are: 1) Doctorate in business (ABD acceptable for hire) with emphasis in international business subjects; 2) excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills; 3) demonstrated commitment to addressing issues of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, and/or other issues of historic marginalization; 4) at least two years of college level teaching or four years of related industry experience; 5) willingness to teach students in the classroom and at a distance using alternative delivery methods; 6) a record of outstanding performance.

Preferred qualifications include: 1) ability to teach general management courses as well as international business courses; 2) experience using educational software; 3) experience teaching students at a distance using alternative delivery methods; 4) four or more years of teaching experience.

The Department of Business & Accounting consists of twenty-six faculty members offering undergraduate majors in business and accounting to approximately 650 on-campus students. In addition, undergraduate and graduate Master's degrees are offered to approximately 800 distance students.
