Department of Business & Accounting
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville seeks applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Business Administration - Human Resources. This is a tenure track, 9-month, full time position to begin January 3 or August 19, 2014.
Minimum qualifications are: 1) a Master's degree in a human resource management related field; 2) excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills; 3) ability to teach human resource management courses; 4) at least one year of college level teaching or two years of professional human resource management experience; 5) a demonstrated commitment to or experience with issues related to race, gender, and other types of historic marginalization.
Preferred qualifications are: 1) Doctorate in a human resource management related field; 2) ability to teach an international human resource management course; 3) experience using educational software; 4) willingness to use alternative course delivery methods to teach students at a distance; 5) PHR, SPHR, or GPHR certification.
Teaching and possibly developing primarily undergraduate courses in human resource management; also providing academic advising, engaging in scholarly activities, teaching and/or developing courses for students at a distance if assigned, and providing professional service to the department, university, and the community.
The Department of Business & Accounting
consists of twenty faculty members offering undergraduate majors in business and accounting to approximately 650 on-campus students. In addition, undergraduate and graduate master's degrees are offered to approximately 800 distance students.
