Project Management/Business and Accounting
Assistant Professor in Project Management/Business and Accounting. Full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position. Qualified individuals considering a change from business careers will be fully considered for the position.

The successful candidate will be expected to meet the traditional requirements of excellence in teaching, advising, active scholarly and professional work, and service to the University and community. A teaching load of up to four classes per semester will typically consist of graduate courses in project management techniques, project scope management, interpersonal skills for project teams, supervision of seminar research and capstone students, and/or other courses as needed by the program. Teaching will be primarily online, but may include some face-to-face teaching on campus or at remote, including international, sites. Summer instructional opportunities will be available.
A completed doctorate in project management or closely related field, such as business administration, engineering management, organizational administration, leadership/management, or pubic administration is required, with professional experience as a project manager preferred. Other requirements: At least one academic semester (or equivalent) of experience with an online course management system, either as an instructor or student, a demonstrated commitment to or experience with racially diverse populations, strong interpersonal skills, excellent skills in English language verbal, presentation, and written communication, excellent computer usage skills, a record of outstanding performance, willingness to teach in both the distance and classroom environments, and a demonstrated willingness and ability to provide students with prompt, organized, and meaningful instruction and feedback. The successful candidate will work within the MS in Project Management program and the Department of Business and Accounting located on the UW-Platteville campus. The responsibilities of this position cannot be fulfilled at a distance. Employment will require a criminal background check.

As an interdisciplinary program, MSPM draws on support from the departments of Business and Accounting, Communication Technologies, and the UW-Platteville College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science. The program is accredited by the Project Management Institute.
