Technology Instruction Specialist (Information Processing Consultant), Academic Staff, 12 month appointment.

Assist, advise and train faculty, staff and students on instructional software and technologies particularly course management systems and electronic portfolios; train and instruct staff on business software applications particularly related to data warehouse querying; provide workshops and seminars as appropriate; assist the Institutional Research Office on reporting needs; and advise the Office of Information Technology (OIT) on instructional design, software applications and course management systems. This position reports to the Director of the Learning Technology Center (LTC).

A Master's Degree in Instructional Technology, Media Technology, E-Learning, Computer Science, Computer Applications or closely related field is required. The successful candidate must have a minimum of one year experience in instructional technology, software training or computer-based instruction; experience and aptitude demonstrating excellent instructional/training and presentational skills, particularly for specialized technology and computer-based instruction; good documentation and publication skills; exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral; good organizational skill; the ability to self-motivate and work in a team environment; and demonstrated commitment to or experience with working with diverse populations. Academic experience is an asset.

Commensurate with qualifications and experience, with a minimum of $43,000.
