Part-time Lecturer

Position:
Half-time Lecturer position, Department of Biology (Fall 2008 Semester, 50% time)

Qualifications:
A master's degree or higher in biology or closely related field completed by August 1, 2008, broad training in biology, a demonstrated commitment to or experience with racially diverse populations, demonstrable skills in oral and written communications and in computer applications, and a strong commitment to undergraduate education required. Teaching experience at least as a graduate teaching assistant or lecturer preferred.

Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility will be to teach undergraduate biology courses. Specific responsibilities will include evening sections of Biol 1150 General Biology Lecture and Labs and other courses based on department need.

Background Check:
Employment will require a criminal background check.

Date of Appointment:
Appointment begins August 20, 2008.
