Counselor/Student Employment Coordinator

Duties: This position will have the responsibility of coordinating all student employment on campus: including working with on campus employers and off campus employers, posting job openings, help students secure employment and authorize students to work. Will work closely with the University Payroll Office. This position will be responsible for monitoring the Federal Work-Study Program. Other responsibilities include reviewing financial aid applications, determining eligibility and granting financial aid awards, counseling students and parents on all aspects of financial aid and working directly with students who are involved in our Study Abroad programs and seeking financial aid.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree is required. The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience in working with racially diverse groups and individuals, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. Evidence of strong customer service skills, organizational skills and the ability to work cooperatively with others are required. Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills and have experience with computer applications. Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends.

Salary: $32,291

Starting Date: As soon as possible after December 1, 2006
