Ultimate Frisbee is a fast-paced sport in which two teams of seven compete to pass the disc into their respective endzone.  The game combines elements from soccer and basketball on a 40 by 120yd field (including endzones).  Games tend to last upwards of an hour and depend greatly on spirit as there is no referee.

    Platteville’s Ultimate team was founded in the fall of 2000 and continues to grow.  If you are interested in playing, contact uwp.ultimate@gmail.com and watch this space for practice times and locations.  No experience is required or even necessary to play.  Any females interested in playing are strongly urged to join as some tournaments require gender ratios.
