Minutes of October 15, 1998 Meeting The meeting was called to order by President Erin Rischette at 4:00PM. 1. Announcements T-shirts are for sale for $10. Gray and white available. If you want to tutor for the athletic dept. see Erin. If you have received a renewal for membership and already paid, ignore ignore the notice. However, if you have not paid Prof. Wilson, send your national dues in and pay us the $5 local dues. There will be a college bowl on campus, see Erin if interested. There will be a leadership training seminar on Tuesday, October 22. 2. The minutes of 10/1/98 were approved. 3. Treasurer's report was read by VP/Treas Mark Bertolasi. 4. Committee Reports Sunrayce - We are still behind but things are starting to happen. Big group meeting soon. Physics is Phantastic - At St. Mary's in P-ville, Tuesday Oct. 27. Two shows 12:55-1:40 and 2:20-3:05. Trip/Social - Getting info on Fermi Lab tour. Considering charging others to use our canoes. Canoe patching party this winter. Canoeing on October 24. Bulletin Board - It has been redone. SPS Zone Meeting - Spring 99: Committee will meet soon. We will get $$$ from AIP and SAB for speakers. 5. Zone Meeting at Illinois State - Bloomington/Normal: November 20-21. Poster presentations will be given by students. Erin will be presenting. She needs to know who will attend by Oct. 21. Mark Eldrege motioned to pay for $15 a meal for those attending plus $15/person for the room. Mike Aufdermauer seconded. Discussion followed. The question was called and voted on. It passed. 6. Test Packets/Book Sales The book sale will be October 28 and 29, 11-2. Volunteers should sign up on the SPS bulletin board. It was suggested that the leftover books be taken to a used book reseller in Duluth. Mark Eldredge volunteered to check prices to print copies of the 264 exam packets. Mark Eldrege motioned to adjourn the meeting. Jason Anibas seconded it. The motion passed, and the meeting was adjourned at 4:30PM.
