Minutes for September 21, 2000

The meeting was called to order at 4:00PM by President Mark Broker.

1. Announcements

       	Membership applications are available and are required before the fall
		social pizza party. The dues are $20 for national and $5 for 
		local and can be in one check.
	We need 10 signatures for organization renewal.

2. Approval of Minutes from September 7

	Many edits, The fun-shop is named Phantastic Phunshop. We have a total
		of three canoes, and we are definitely raffling one off.

3. Treasurers Report

        No change.

4. Committee Reports

	A. Physics is Phantastic 
		Two shows are scheduled and help is needed. Platteville Middle
			wants a show on Nov 1.

	B. Colloquium 
		On Monday Professor Hamilton will be having a colloquium on
			Cleaning Lenses.

	C. Trip Social
		Stargazing on Friday is canceled. Caving in Madocada meet at 8
			behind otts.
		Interest survey was taken

	D. Bulletin Board 
		New board to be going up in the next week.

	F. Additional committees
		1. The Physics is Phantastic Phunshop 
			Planned to be held on Nov 11, so keep your calendars
			clear. Appealing to homeschoolers and getting advice 
			from the Platteville Middle principal.
		2. Exam Book 
			Travis is working hard, Physics test going to be soon
			sellers needed to be posted outside the classes between
 			class times.

5. Recruitment and September Pizza Party

	Fri the 29th is the big pizza party, Jessica volunteered to head making
		the pizzas, everyone come and help. Remember Membership dues 
		are the admission to the party.

6. Canoes 

	Sanding party on Fri at Wilson's place. Fresh cookies and a grill out.

7. Washington D.C. Report 
	Zone 9 is our zone and Amy went to represent us. There was the national
		meeting and the Sigma Pi Sigma congress so there were lots of 
		meetings, not much time to see the town. 
		But it was still interesting. Amy met the Zone Councellor said
		he was nice. Also Platteville should have a zone meeting here 
		this spring.

8. Other

	nothing
