SPS MEETING
April 15, 1999
  
1.  The meeting was called to order by President Erin Jo Rischette at 4:03 pm. 
  
2.  The minutes of 3/25/99 were approved as written.
  
3.  Treasurer's Report: The Spring Zone Meeting yielded a profit of more that
$90! 
  
4.  Committee Reports:
	Physics Is Phantastic: Professor Wilson suggested local school
		which would like SPS to visit.
        	Cuba City wants SPS to talk to them every year!
        Colloquium: A walking colloquium was suggested so that knowledge of
		the research being done in the Chemistry department could be 
		made known.
        Trip/Social: Total of $200 to fix all the canoes, plus one free
		patch if any leak.
                        Canoeing May 1st.
                      	Stargazing April 30th.
                        Spring Social April 23rd.
        Bulletin Board: Pictures are in, and will be posted shortly!
  
5.  EXPO '99: It was awesome!! Take a look at the pictures that were taken. 
	Probably the best turnout ever!
  
6.  Spring Zone Meeting: Thanks to anyone who helped! The Zone Meeting turned
	out wonderfully, even with the rain.  Everyone liked the registration 
	fee.  Next year, Marquette may be interested in hosting the Zone 
	Meeting!
  
7.  Election of Officers (99-00):
	President:  Erin Jo Rischette
  
        Vice President/Treasurer and Secretary will be announced later because 
	the trickle-down election prevented a fair election with so few people 
	present. Please put in your votes by e-mail.
  
Amy Sandberg moved to adjourn the meeting at 4:52 pm.  Travis Norling seconded
the motion.
