Minutes for March 1, 2001 The meeting was called to order at 4:02PM by President Mark Broker. 1. Announcements The next meetings in March are on the 22nd and the 29th. The faculty are cleaning the demo room tomorrow anyone can help. Tomorrow from 3-4 room renovations evaluations of rooms 144,140 and 222. 2. Approval of Minutes from February 15 Approved 3. Treasurers Report Same as before 4. Committee Reports A. Physics is Phantastic Nils and Hannah are co-chairs. A show in Monro in early April. B. Colloquium Working on getting Hamilton, Evensen, and StJohn to give a colloquium. Independent study people are giving a presentation on March 7th C. Trip Social March 2nd Movie or Rec Center - 8:00pm March 23rd Star Gazing March 31st Expo, Zone, Canoe trip - rain or shine April 7th Power Plant - decide between two plants April 21st Caving April 27th Spring Social Cris and Geoff are going to work on some kind of trivial pursuit. D. Bulletin Board Going to be green in March, and rabbits in April F. Additional committees 1. Exam Book Physics II needs answers for Evensen and St.John 5. Circuit Component Sale Still need to be separated, and legalities still need checking into. 6. Zone Meeting Discussion on including tech services and room and AV unit in little theater. The cost of the speaker is 600 dollars plus room and board. The cost to people attending will be $5. JJ is taking care of informing catering. Fri - Check-in from 4-6 in Otts, dinner at 6 in LaCafe, 7:30 is Dr. Joung. Sat - 7:30 Breakfast, Little Theater Presentations 8-12, Lunch at Driving Range, Canoe and Caving rain or shine 7. Expo It is March 30th. The physics is Phantastic Exploritorium. The EP canon shoot will be from 9-1 and will need volunteers to help Greg L is checking out the CO2 laser. The robot arm and Tesla coil are going to be shown. Someone can show the flame tube. 8. Other Canoes - Trim done on one canoe. Raffle is $20 per ticket with a maximum of 200 tickets sold.
