Why you should join

1.Learn Self-Defense

In this day and age it is wise to be able to protect yourself and loved ones. Tang Soo Do is only to be used as self-defense.

2.Develop Endurance and Controlled Breathing

In Tang Soo Do you will learn to control your breathing during physical activities, which will in turn increase your performance. Controlling your breathing is a very importance step in developing endurance. Tang Soo Do can teach you this.

3.Develop Flexibility

Combining the stretching techniques with the bi-weekly workout, Tang Soo Do can increase your flexibility as well as your health.

4.Meet New Friends and Have Fun.

Tang Soo Do is not all work. We have a lot of fun, too. Practices are exciting and so are our tournaments, brat sale, and many other activities.

ATKI The American Tang Soo Do Karate Institute The World Tang Soo Do Association - In 1990 the ATKI joined the World Tang Soo Do Association. The WTSDA was founded in November of 1982 and Jae Chul Shin was recongnized as the grandmaster and president of the WTSDA. How to Join

Just show up at one of the practice times in workout clothes or call/e-mail one of the members listed below for more information. We also put on a demonstration twice a year that we encourage you come and watch.

Meeting Times

Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the room 200 of the Pioneer Athletic Center (PAC)
