Bubble sheet suggestions for Livestock CDE
Information from relate Livestock Events:
This event is held in an unheated facility.
Students are advised to dress warmly.
Contest Purpose: To provide a competitive event for high school
agriculture students, empahsizing skills in livestock selection and livestock
herd management.
Objectives:

To provide high school agriculture students with livestock interests a practical
experience that will serve them well in industry positions or in management
of a modern livestock herd.

To develop students' skills in observation and analysis.

To develop students' skills in communicating their reasons for placing four
animals.

To develop students' skills in selecting and culling breeding livestock.
-
To develop students' skills in grading cattle and hogs.
Event format:
-
Livestock Selection will be judged at the UW-Platteville Pioneer Farm. Team
members participating are encouraged to dress warmly, including warm footwear.
Weather conditions can be very unpredictable. Sanitary boots will be provided
at the farm.

A team will consist of three or four individuals with the top three scores
constituting the team score.

Cell phones are prohibited during the event.
