Welcome to the UWP Chapter of Chi Epsilon!
Purpose: Chi Epsilon is “dedicated to the purpose of maintaining and promoting the status of civil engineering as
an ideal profession.”
Chapter Stats: Platteville is the 77th chapter out of a total 130 chapters nationwide, gaining its membership in 1971.
Motto: Chi Epsilon’s motto is “Conception, Design, Construction”, which comes from the letters of Chi Delta Chi, one
of the two original petitioning groups.
How am I eligible to join? Students must be in the top third of their class and have completed at least half of the
civil engineering curriculum on the path of earning a bachelor’s degree. Initiates are judged on their Scholarship,
Character, Practicality, and Sociability.
What's Chi Epsilon all about at Platteville?
The Chi Epsilon chapter at UW-Platteville participates in a number of activities throughout the year. These include:
- a brunch for graduating CEE seniors and their families
- conversion book sales
- a resume book representing CEE students
- highway cleanup
- service projects in the community
