Formerly "Newman Club"

The Catholic Newman Community, located at St. Augustine University Parish, offers a variety of programs and opportunities, always with the understanding that our real priority is each of you: students, faculty, and staff. Any member of the UWP community who is interested in our mission is welcome to join us, regardless of faith affiliation.

CNC meets every Wednesday night at 9:00 p.m. on a rotating schedule of Leadership, Catch the Spirit!, Know Your Catholic Faith, and Take-a-Break nights.

Our regular weekend Mass Schedule is as follows:

Mission Statement

The Catholic Newman Community is a student organization, sponsored by the Saint Augustine University Parish of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Madison, bound by its common faith to gather and enrich the Catholic community by educating the students, faculty, staff and administration of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville (UW-P) through community building, spiritual formation, community outreach and liturgy.

St. Augustine University Parish of the Catholic Diocese of Madison (St. Augie's) provides Catholic campus ministry for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. This parish offers spiritual development, education, service, and leadership opportunities with and for student, staff, faculty and resident parishioners. This parish openly welcomes all who wish to worship God, share the Word, serve others with love and justice, and participate in Christian fellowship.

Where Does CNC Meet?

St. Augustine University parish includes the campus ministry center which CNC calls "home." It is located on Hickory Street, just down from the library and across from Ullsvik Center. Students are welcome to use the Newman Lounge at St. Augie's for studying, gathering, sharing meals or watching TV, whether or not you attend church.
