What is Alpha Phi Omega?:
Alpha Phi Omega is a National Service Fraternity - college students gathered together in an organization based on fraternalism and founded on the fellowship of principals derived from the Scout Oath and Law of the Boy Scouts of America. Its purpose is to develop leadership, promote friendship, and provide service to humanity. Each semester APO performs hundreds of hours of community service that benefit the campus, Platteville Community, and Nation.
History:
Alpha Phi Omega was founded at Lafayette College in Easton Pennsylvania in 1925. the Tau Upsilon Chapter (at UWP) was founded in 1968, and became inactive in 1993. In 2005 the Tau Upsilon chapter was re-chartered and is one of the most active chapters in the region.
