Alpha Lambda Delta won the prestigious award of the Order of the Torch for the 2009-2010 school year. This award is given to up to 5 schools nationally once a year. It is given to those schools who demonstrate through a scrapbook chapter involvement, participation in diverse programming events, effective chapter communication, and then overall presentation of the scrapbook. This is only the second time in the school’s history that Alpha Lambda Delta has won this award, so the chapter was very proud of the hard work that its members put into making the book and how well their chapter demonstrated the key qualities to a good chapter.  Some events that the chapter participated in during the year included; Trick or Treat for Things to Eat canned food drive,  Eagle Nature Foundations Fall Eagle Fest, Get Caught Studying, many socials including pot lucks during finals weeks, Toiletry drive, and the stuff drive. This year Alpha Lambda Delta looks forward to participating in and winning Maintaining Flame. This award is based on the same criteria and is used for schools who have won the Order of the Torch in the past five years, since you can only win once every five years. This is a huge honor for Alpha Lambda Delta.
