The Office of Information Technology (OIT) regularly schedules system outages for upgrades, maintenance and repair. Any or all IT services could potentially be down during an outage, including computer lab access, Internet access, network printing, remote storage access and e-mail. Most users should be able to use their computers locally when an outage occurs. System outages fall into three categories:

  1. Regular 4:15 pm to 5:15 pm Friday Outage: Most OIT repairs or upgrades will occur during this regular Friday afternoon outage.

  2. Daily 6:00 am to 7:00 am Outage: This outage will only be used when repairs or patches must occur before Friday's regular outage. The PeopleSoft Administration System is typically maintained every Friday morning during this window.

  3. Emergency Outages: On very rare occasions, unscheduled or extended outages could occur at any time during the day. Every effort will be made to inform the campus of these outages ahead of time.
