Processor: 200 Mhz processor
RAM: 128 MB memory
Hard drive: 1 GB hard drive

The University only allowed and supported Ethernet adapters from these manufacturers: This is also just prior to the adoption of the tiered-support model in August, 2003 and addition of wireless network support.

Level 2 - Limited support
Windows XP Home Edition (ResNet only), Mac OS X 10.2, Mac OS 9.2

Level 3 - Unsupported
Windows 98, Windows ME, BSD, Linux, UNIX and anything not in Level 1, Level 2, or prohibited by Level 4

Level 4 - Not allowed
DOS, Windows 95 and older, Windows NT 4 and older, Mac OS 8.x and older, Mac OS X 10.0-10.1, any homegrown, beta or pre-release OS, any OS designed primarily to provide server services (ex. Windows 2000 Server, NetWare, Red Hat Advanced Server)
