Open the properties window for the Wireless Network Connection. To accomplish this click Start > Settings > Control panel.

Double-click Network and Dial-up Connections.

Right-click on the Local Area Connection for the wireless card and select Properties.

Uncheck File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks

Check Show icon in taskbar when connected

Click on the Configure button.

Click on the Avanced tab.

Click on the SSID property.

In the Value field, enter uwpwireless

Note: If SSID is not listed, this is not your wireless network adapter. Go back to Network and Dial-up Connections and follow these steps starting with right-clicking on a different Local Area Connection.

Click OK

Click OK to finish the configuration.
