WinSCP Configuration Page

The first screen that opens up will look like the picture shown above.
To access the UW-P storage simply type in "sftp.nw.uwplatt.edu" in the text field for Host name.
Your username and password will be the same as the ones used to log into the UW-P campus network.
Also be sure to check the radial button next to"SFTP" under Protocol.
Then click "Login" to continue...

End User License Agreement

This screen is a security measure that asks if you trust that the computer you are connecting to is actually
the computer you intended to connect to. As long as you have followed this tutorial you can press "Yes."

End User License Agreement

The screen above is a screen-shot of what the actual program interface.
Your UW-P storage drive resides on the right hand side of the screen while your local computer
is displayed on the left hand side.
To copy files back and forth or just upload/download simply drag files from one window to another.
In this example we will be copying a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles picture from our storage drive (right)
to our loacal documents folder (left), and as stated before you can just drag files from one to another.

End User License Agreement

This screen simply confirms the location you would like to copy the file to.
If you are happy with the destination select "Copy" or you can choose the directory of your choice.

End User License Agreement

Here is a screenshot of the file transfering from our UW-P storage to our local computer.

End User License Agreement

Here is the final outcome, we now have a copy of the picture on our local computer,
along with the copy that still resides on our UW-P storage.
