In support of UW-Platteville’s green initiatives, we are pleased to announce the implementation of a PC power management solution, SURVEYOR by Verdiem. SURVEYOR places inactive PCs and monitors into low-power states to conserve energy when they’re not in use. The virtually transparent software should not affect your productivity and implementation of this new technology is expected to yield substantial PC power consumption savings for UW-Platteville. Look below for savings accrued so far.

Phase 2 of the Green IT Initiative includes implementation of a new print management solution that will empower the UW-Platteville community to make environmentally friendly choices about printing. The new tool is scheduled for release by Fall 2012.
