How do I access the wireless network using a web browser?
(Note: These instructions apply to any supported operating system and web browser.)
Open a new web browser window.
Navigate to the URL http://wireless.uwplatt.edu/ or try to navigate to any other URL by typing it in or using a bookmark. You will be redirected to the wireless network authentication page.
Login by typing your UW-Platteville NetID and password in the area on the left side of the screen.
Click "Log In". You will now see a post-logon page.
If you initially tried to navigate to a destination other than directly to the wireless page, you can proceed to your destination by clicking on the "Click here" link near the bottom of the screen. You are otherwise free to navigate to any website.
Logging off
To log off, click the "Click to Logout" link in the small "(your NetID) logout" window.
If you have accidentaly or intentionally closed this window, go to http://wireless.uwplatt.edu/ and the logout window will reappear.
