UW-Platteville ranked No. 3 in country for Project Management by business website
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville, a leader in distance education for more than 35 years, was ranked third on IntelligentHQ’s list of the Top 10 Project Management Programs in the U.S.
“While there have been considerable rankings done on MBA programs, other specialized degrees are often overlooked,” wrote the business-focused website. “Project management is an emerging field that continues to grow in different industries and professions. There are now thousands of project management degree specializations and concentrations globally.”
While ranking the universities, IntelligentHQ focused on project management degree programs that are accredited by the Global Accreditation Center (GAC), are recognized by the Project Management Institute (REP Member), have curriculum aligned with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), and are operated by a regionally accredited nonprofit university. Also taken into consideration were tuition costs, academic excellence, student and alumni support, and career services and assessed faculty involvement.
“The [UW-Platteville] Master of Science in Project Management online degree program can help you achieve success at the highest levels of management by preparing you to lead complex projects, cultivate relationships between project teams and customers, and manage the “triple constraint” of time, money, and scope of a project,” reads the website. “As a student of the program, you’ll complete an in-depth exploration of advanced project leadership coursework that you can apply directly to your career, building better processes and pursuing expanded professional opportunities. The project management courses are integrated, with each course building on previous material to foster complete understanding of new skills and topics.”
This ranking marks the fifth time UW-Platteville has been recognized for its outstanding Project Management program in 2016.
“The administration and faculty of the Master of Science in Project Management program are delighted to be recognized by IntelligentHQ in its ranking of top degree programs in the country,” said Program Coordinator Bill Haskins.
UW-Platteville’s Master of Science in Project Management program is one of the select programs in the United States that is globally accredited by PMI®. The curriculum of the program is aligned with the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK®) which forms the foundation necessary to obtain the Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential.
