Student Wisconsin Education Association 

Student Wisconsin Education Association (Student WEA) is a statewide pre-professional organization for all prospective educators. Its goal is to help these educators make a smooth transition from the campus to their profession through active involvement in professional training, community projects, multicultural and diversity experiences, and social gatherings.

Kappa Delta Pi

Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), International Honor Society in Education, founded by Dr. William Bagley in 1911 at the University of Illinois, was established to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. The founders chose the name from the Greek words to represent knowledge, duty, and power. Pioneering from its beginning by including women as well as men, Kappa Delta Pi grew from a local chapter to the international organization it is today, comprising 600 chapters and more than 40,000 members. The Iota Rho chapter was installed by a team from the society headquarters on May 10, 1962 on the UW-Platteville campus.

Platteville Early Childhood Association

Faculty Advisor: Wonim Son (

Platteville Early Childhood Association (PECA) supports and fosters professional development through local workshops and in-services. It acts as a support group for all persons involved with young children, and provides a group framework for all persons concerned with the health, education, and welfare of young children. The group advocates children's educational, social, and legal rights.

Collegiate Middle Level Association (CMLA) is a professional education organization for college students preparing to become middle level teachers. It is an affiliate of the Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE).
