Wellness event geared for spring break safety, fun
PLATTEVILLE-Spring Break, the theme for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Student Health Center's 9th annual Wellness Fair, will offer education and information to stay healthy while having fun during spring break.
The UWP Student Health Services invites students, staff and community members to attend the event, set for Wednesday, March 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the University Room of the Pioneer Student Center.
The event is free and open to the public. The fair will feature educational booths from campus and community organizations, as well as businesses.
The fair's theme, Spring Break, encompasses activities and safety ideas for a fun spring break. A wide variety of wellness resources will be represented at the fair, including healthy eating, holistic health, fitness, sun and alcohol safety strategies, stress management, curbing domestic abuse, counseling and time management.
Area health professionals will also be available to provide advice and information.
