UWP Ski and Snowboard Club hits the slopes
PLATTEVILLE - Grab your poles and join the Ski and Snowboard Club at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville as they prepare a weeklong trip to Aspen, Colo. from Jan. 3-10, 2004.
All students are welcome to attend the trip, which will feature fun and excitement for all participants, both on and off the ski hill. The trip will include five nights lodging, four days of skiing, transportation and entertainment.
The UWP Ski and Snowboard Club is working with Lifestylez Productions to coordinate and provide this adventurous skiing opportunity. Lifestylez currently organizes trips throughout the year for over 4,000 students across the nation. The company is known for creating various programs and events targeted for all students. These events include live bands, outdoor concerts, disc jockeys, nightly themed parties, professional ski and snowboard competitions along with other numerous on and off mountain activities and contests.
"This trip is an exceptional value and will prove to be a high point for many student's college careers," said Jonathon Stevens, president of the UWP Ski and Snowboard Club.
Students interested in attending the ski trip may register Nov. 6 from 5-6 p.m. in the Wisconsin Room of the Pioneer Student Center (PSC), or Nov. 12 from 7-9 p.m. in the Platteville East Room of the PSC. The total cost of the trip is $480. A non-refundable security deposit of $50 will be due Nov. 12.
Due to transportation and accommodation limitations, attendance for the trip will be limited to 46 students. Students with financial limitations may speak with the Financial Aid Office at UWP to discuss alternative loans to cover the registration fees.
