UW-Platteville hosting Monster Mash concert Oct. 31
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – In the spirit of Halloween, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Chamber Players will give a free Monster Mash concert on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Richard and Helen Brodbeck Concert Hall. Performers will be in costume and guests are welcome to dress up as well.
Dr. Laura Medisky, UW-Platteville music lecturer who is arranging the concert, said the evening’s program includes a percussion ensemble, a woodwind quartet and quintet, tuba/euphonium quartet and flute choir.
“We’re leaving room for an element of surprise,” Medisky said of the other details. “You never know what to expect at a Halloween concert.”
She added that performances like this one are particularly fun because they allow students to connect with the audience in a new and different way. “What’s great about it is that students are doing what they love,” Medisky said.
