University Box Office’s new online ticketing system offers expanded features
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville University Box Office has a new online ticketing system called “Box Office,” provided by vendor SeatAdvisor Inc. The new system offers expanded features for those purchasing tickets for UW-Platteville Center for the Arts performances and campus-wide events, such as the 2014 Chinese Spring Festival. More than 3,200 patron names and addresses have been imported into the new system.
The new ticketing system accepts cash, checks and all four major credit cards, including MasterCard, VISA, American Express and Discover Card. In order to encourage patrons to use the system and also reduce waiting times at the ticket counter, the mailing fee for tickets has been reduced by 50 cents to $2 per order.
The University Box Office has also launched a new ticketing website, optimized for mobile devices, at tickets.uwplatt.edu. Tickets may be purchased online up to three hours before an event, at which time tickets must be purchased by phone at (608) 342-1298 or in person.
Future upgrades for the new ticketing website include integration with Facebook, so that patrons may purchase tickets through the CFA Facebook site as well as give feedback about their ticket purchases.
The University Box Office is located on the ground floor of Ullsvik Hall, next to the Harry and Laura Nohr Gallery, and is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The CFA ticket counter opens one hour prior to scheduled performances in the building.
