PLATTEVILLE-Grammy nominated Terrance Blanchard will appear at the UW-Platteville's Center for the Arts on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 8 p.m. Blanchard has been nominated for work on scores for Spike Lee films "Malcolm X" and "Mo' Better Blues." He has composed soundtracks for more than 25 movies.

Named 2000 Trumpeter of the Year, Blanchard is one of the most important musician/composer/band leaders of this generation.

Tickets are available for this performance at the University Box Office located in the lobby of the Center for the Arts and can be reached by calling (608) 342-1298. Prices for seats are as follows: $22 for general public, $20 for UWP faculty/staff and senior citizens, $10 for UWP students and $14 for children under 18.
