Sybarite 5

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s Center for the Arts will present Sybarite5 on Tuesday, March 4 at 7 p.m. in the Richard and Helen Brodbeck Concert Hall.

Sybarite5 is a string quintet with “classically honed technique mixed with grit,” according to the Sarasota Herald Tribune. Sybarite5 was the first-ever string quintet to win the Concert Artists Guild International Competition in its 60-year history.

From Mozart to Radiohead, Sybarite5’s eclectic repertoire and dynamic performance style has attracted attention throughout the music world. The quintet has performed all across the United States.

The Washington Post boasted, “Sybarite5 excelled at the exquisite...(they played) with relish, a sense of comfort, and a frisson of missionary zeal.”
