PLATTEVILLE- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Department of Fine Arts, Music and Theatre presents "Side by Side by Sondheim."

This musical entertainment will take place at 8 p.m. on Oct. 16, 17 and 18 in Richard and Helen Brodbeck Concert Hall in the UWP Center for the Arts.

Music and lyrics are by Stephen Sondheim with music by Leonard Bernstein, Mary Rodgers, Richard Rodgers, and Jule Styne. Continuity is by Ned Sherrin.

"Side by Side by Sondheim" is directed by Barbara Burdick with choreography by Doug Mackie; accompanied by Terry Dillon and Tim Durst. The musical features Tom Hickey as the narrator as well as Aaron Athas, Janea Astle, Megan Benoy, Katie Fogarty, Lucy Godwin, Veronica Hendrick, Shannon Meyer, Luke Tredinnick and Kyle Van Haren.

Produced on Broadway by Harold Prince in association with Ruth Mitchell "'Side by Side by Sondheim' is a rich buffet of Sondheim's best songs from Company, West Side Story, Follies, Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, A Little Night Music, Pacific Overtures and Gypsy, seasoned with a humorous commentary. A tribute to a great artist," Burdick said.
