PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — Theatergoers will see both familiar faces and new actors at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Heartland Festival. In addition to the actors from the Platteville community, several actors chosen at auditions in Madison, Wis., will perform in the festival’s three productions: “Frankly Scarlett, You’re Dead!,” “Nunsense” and “Fiddler on the Roof.”
Platteville area performers include David Schuler, co-artistic director of the festival and an associate professor of theatre at UW-Platteville, who will be playing Tevye in “Fiddler on the Roof”; Susan Savage Day, an assistant professor of music at UW-Platteville, who will be playing Sister Mary Regina in “Nunsense” and Fruma-Sarah in “Fiddler on the Roof”; Amanda Zasada, a Platteville native and student at UW-Platteville, will be playing Sister Amnesia in “Nunsense” and Hodel in “Fiddler on the Roof” and Rachel McIntyre, a Galena, Ill. native and student at Ball State University, will return to the festival playing Sister Leo in “Nunsense” and Chava in “Fiddler on the Roof.”
