KIDS from Wisconsin to take UW-Platteville stage
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The musical ambassadors of Wisconsin, KIDS from Wisconsin, has planned a performance for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville campus. The show will be held Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Richard and Helen Brodbeck Concert Hall at the Center for the Arts.
The KIDS from Wisconsin consists of 10 male and 10 female singers and dancers, accompanied by a 13-piece band. The group is celebrating “45 Fabulous Seasons of Music and Memories.” The show kicks off with “I Got the Music in Me,” “The Music of George Gershwin,” “Country Hits” and “Musical Scenes from Smash.” The band is featured with music of Paul Simon and from James Bond movie soundtracks. The second half of the program includes hits of 1969, “Rock of Ages” and an original song, “Be the Difference.” The band will play songs from the swing era, “One O’Clock Jump” and music of Van Morrison.
Arianna Day from Platteville, Wis. is an alternate performer for this year’s troupe and will emcee this year’s show. She is the daughter of Bill and Susan Savage Day.
Isaac Risseeuw from Darlington, Wis., a former member of KIDS from Wisconsin, is the assistant technical director this summer. He is the son of Phil and Tana Risseeuw.
Seating for the show is reserved. Tickets are $16 for adults and $12 for those 18 years old and under and UW-Platteville students. Tickets can be reserved by calling the University Box Office at (608) 342-1298 or online at tickets.uwplatt.edu.

Furlan and Cooper currently teach at UW-Platteville.
