PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville International Student Club will host the 48th annual International Night Dinner on Saturday, April 27, in Velzy Commons, Ullsvik Hall. This year’s theme is the Land of Bollywood.

“This is a great opportunity to interact with students from all over the world and learn about the rich diversity we have on campus,” said Boonsita Anamnart, junior industrial engineering major from Chanthaburi, Thailand, and secretary of the International Student Club.

The event will begin with a global marketplace from 4:30-5:30 p.m. where students from around the world will showcase their home countries with activities including calligraphy, crafts, international trivia, Henna tattoos and painting. Students from the International Student Club and the Ballroom Dance Club will demonstrate the Samba dance.

The dinner program, including a flag parade representing the countries of the international students at UW-Platteville, will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by a meal featuring authentic Indian cuisine. The Natyarpana Dance Company will provide entertainment after dinner featuring classical Indian and Bollywood dances. There will also be optional Bollywood dance lessons available.
